Dovid Drazin was added to the JCW Wall of Shame five years ago after JCW verified multiple reports against him of child sexual abuse.
During his time as a “Kvutza” Student, (Kvutza is a program where 20-year-old Israeli bachurim study for a year or more in Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY), and for a number of years afterwards, Drazin groomed and then sexually abused at least three male children and young teenagers in his dorm room.
JCW recently received a report that Drazin is now working in a toy store in Jerusalem. A volunteer was dispatched and filmed this confrontation.

Chaim Gajer, who is listed on the Wall of Shame, is now living in Kfar Chabad, Israel.
In 2013, JCW first received a report of abuse by Gajer. Shortly afterwards, as part of our Project E.M.E.S. staff screening initiative, we discovered that Chaim Gajer was to be a staff member in a camp.
JCW immediately launched a high priority investigation and found 4 additional victims, ranging in ages 8 to 16. These serious, highly credible reports alleged that Gajer committed severe abuse against children while serving in various camp and other staff positions. Gajer was subsequently informed that he would not be a camp staff member and he was added to the Wall of Shame at the conclusion of the investigation, and after approval by JCW’s committee.
We urge parents to take all responsible, necessary precautions to protect their children.

Shafran was a sofer stam and the chef in his community’s shul. It was through his standing in the community that he gained access to young girls, who he befriended with candy and gifts before abusing them.
Shafran is currently incarcerated in Israel, and is due to be released this July. According to information received by JCW, Shafran plans to live in Kiryat Malachi.
From the outside, Rabbi Menachem Chinn of East Windsor observed the strictures of his Orthodox Jewish faith, from his beard to the head covering that stood in marked contrast to the yellow jail uniform he wore to his court appearance Friday morning.
Chinn, a 40-year-old married father of six children, admitted he had sexually exploited two young boys — who were students of his at separate times in 2005 and 2012 — when they were under the age of 13. One of the incidents, Chinn admitted, took place in the school where he had taught, the Shalom Torah Academy. The victim in that case, now a young man, was sitting in the courtroom of Mercer County Superior Court Judge Peter E. Warshaw, in Trenton, to watch Chinn finally admit his criminal actions.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.“It was very hard, but at the same time, he’s getting what he deserved,” the man said of watching Chinn in court.
In return for pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Chinn will avoid going to prison, getting two suspended five-year-terms to run concurrently, but he will have to register as a Megan’s Law sex offender and be parole supervised for life. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 13.
Asked about why Chinn will not be going to prison, Casey A. DeBlasio, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor’s Office said by email, “Actually, under the terms of the plea agreement, he will be sentenced to five years of prison time, but that sentence will be suspended as long as he meets all of the conditions. Should those conditions not be met, or he commits a new offense, he would then serve that prison time.”
China was due to be released from jail Friday, although his travel outside the home is restricted to such things as visiting a doctor or attending religious services. He cannot have unsupervised contact with minors, including his children.
“We’re just grateful for the continued support of his family, his wife and the community,” said Chinn’s lawyer, Steven D. Altman, outside of court afterward.
The case against Chinn evolved quickly, even though the victims waited years to come forward to law enforcement. In April, he was charged with sexually assaulting a then 12-year-old-boy in Chinn’s home in 2012, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and East Windsor Police announced. Subsequently, a second victim claimed that Chinn had sexually assaulted him in 2010 and 2011 as a teenager. The same victim in that case then alleged an earlier incident, in 2005, when he was of a middle school age.
The Prosecutor’s Office and Chinn’s lawyer sought to reach a plea bargain to end the case in a matter of months. Originally due to be in court Thursday, Chinn had his appearance rescheduled to Friday.
In handcuffs, he walked into Warshaw’s courtroom under the watch of sheriff’s officers, as the victim in the 2005 case and others stood in the hallway watching.
By late morning, Chinn appeared before the judge, who wanted to make sure that Chinn was pleading guilty because he had, in fact, committed the crimes as opposed to trying to get the matter past him.
“Are you pleading guilty because you are guilty,” the judge asked.
“Yes,” Chinn replied during the proceeding.
Later, Altman walked Chinn through the factual basis to lay out what he had done, first in the April 2012 case that occurred inside Chinn’s East Windsor home. The victim, who was not in the courtroom, was under 13 years of age at the time and a student of Chinn’s.
Then, he pleaded guilty to the earlier incident, from November 2005, at the school.
“After all these years of being victimized, I can only be thankful that he’s no longer going to be able to put anyone else at harm, within the community and as well as outside the community,” said the victim in the 2005 crime.
His lawyer, Craig Hubert, was also in court and said afterward that the victim and his family feel that “justice was served.”
He said his client “will continue to be guided by his family, friends and community through therapy and treatment for the emotional traumatic harm that he continues to live with on a daily basis.”
Chinn, a native of Israel, finished high school, and had been a teacher at the school and involved in the National Council of Synagogue Youth. Though commonly referred to as a rabbi, he is not ordained.
Technically, the statute of limitations had run out for a charge of endangering the welfare of a child, in the case stemming from 2005. As a result, Chinn had to agree to waive that limitation.
Michael Elbogen, 22, was arrested two weeks ago on charges of rape and sodomy of a 13-year-old girl in Jerusalem.
Upon his arrest, evidence on his phone indicated that he may have committed sexual offences against other girls in the past.
Michael is originally from Teaneck, NJ and made aliyah last year.
If you or someone you know was abused by this man, please contact your local police department. If you are in need of support or help with reporting, please contact JCW’s US office at 888-JCW-4852 and Israel office at 02- 372-4105
In June 2016, JCW shared information about the release of Daniel Sunray from an Israeli prison, where he had completed a six-year sentence for molesting and raping six children. In April 2016, we again alerted the community that Sunray had moved to NY. We shared this information to warn the community about a man who poses a potentially serious risk to children.

Letter summoning the CEO of JCW to Bais Din
A few months ago, we received a notice to appear in front of Rav Knopfler’s Badatz Beis Din of Lakewood. According to the note, Sunray was suing JCW for Lashon Hara.
We are being sued for warning the community that a convicted sex offender, with a history of grooming children in shuls and offering children rides, had anonymously moved into their area.
Shockingly, Sunray is also armed with a letter (pictured below) from Rabbi Asher Weiss, a respected Rav, in Israel stating that he is a “wonderful and precious Jew” and should be accepted into all shuls and communities. Weiss also makes the stunning claim that he believes the convicted sex abuser to be innocent!!*
Because Knopfler’s Beis Din is considered so fringe that many Lakewood Rabbanim signed a letter denying him any legitimacy, we offered to go to another Bais Din, but Sunray refused.
A convicted offender has every right to return to the community upon his release, but the community also has every right to be warned of the potential danger.
The brazen and shameless behavior of Sunray, who has refused to accept any responsibility for his crimes or to register with the local sex offender registry as required, (along with his efforts to silence anyone who makes his past known) gives us even more reason to be concerned about the danger he may present.
We are therefore once again warning the community that Sunray is currently living in Harrison, NY and spends many Shabbosim in Stamford, CT.
Here is the translation of a letter from Rabbi Asher Weiss concerning Daniel Sunray to the OU – (R. Weiss’s hand writing is not legible at times so some of the translation may not be word-for-word)

Letter from Rabbi Asher Weiss to the Orthodox Union
To my brothers and the rabbis of the OU
I know Rabbi Danial Sunray as a wonderful and precious Jew who is G-d fearing and loves Torah. He was tried and convicted for hurting kids in the years 98-99. He was convicted and sat in jail for six years. Those years were hard and heart breaking.
I personally believe that he was innocent, and even if was not, he paid a bitter price, and repented for his sins.
He is able to fulfil any role, being a kashrus supervisor etc.… you should bring him close and encourage him you must not shy him away or hurt him.
It is simple and clear to me that you must except him as a member of the community, and shuls. I stand before God in heaven begging for him to redeem us, and thus it is costumery to behave with those who repent our brothers in Israel.
Signature
Asher Zalig Wiess.
*As many have asked, we did indeed reach out to Rav Weiss well before publicizing this letter. Not only did he express his anger at us for warning the community about Sunray, saying that we should let him move on with this life, but he refused to even consider recanting the letter. Furthermore, when asked if he’d be willing to speak to any of the victims, he was completely disinterested and said it wouldn’t make any difference to him.
Recently, the Rabbinical Alliance of America hosted its Rosh Chodesh Shevat Conference at the home of Yitzchak (Yitzy) Hecht in Brooklyn, NY.
JCW exposed Hecht on the Wall of Shame years ago after multiple victims came forward with serious and credible allegations of sexual abuse.
On the morning of the event, JCW informed the RAA about Hecht and a representative of JCW stood outside the door of the event, stopping guests and asking them if they were aware that the honored host and speaker of this event was a many-time-accused child molester. Responses ranged from ignoring, to denial, to adamant insistence that he was “cleared”.
On April 4th, Yitzi/Yitzchak Rosman (aka Eugene) was arrested and subsequently indicted on multiple charges of child sexual abuse of a minor.
SVU detectives are urging anyone who has information or who has been hurt by this man to call Detective Lavin of the Special Victims Unit at 718-330-5676 or 929-354-5790.
If you are in need of support or assistance with reporting, please contact JCW at 888-JCW- 4852 or info@jewishcommunitywatch.org
Rosman formerly ran the Yeshiva Gedola of the Bronx and has lived in both the US and Israel.
If you have a current photo of Rosman, please contact us.
A 40-year-old haredi Gush Etzion resident was arrested following a report that his son exhibited signs of years of physical abuse. During the interrogation, the police uncovered that the man would handcuff the hands and feet of his son, and beat and choked him until he bled.
Following his arrest, a number of additional complaints were filed against the man for abusing multiple local minors over the years.
He has been indicted by the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on charges of assault and ill-treatment of multiple minors.
The allegation that Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman used his position to help obtain a false psychiatric report in order to help Malka Leifer avoid extradition to Australia is shocking but unfortunately not at all surprising.
JCW hired a private investigator to expose Malka Leifer’s claim that she was unfit to stand trial as nothing more than a shameful fraud to avoid justice. Leifer’s defense team has used a host of underhanded tactics to drag the proceedings out as long as possible and make a mockery of Israel’s criminal justice system.
Deputy Health Minister Litzman himself has a long history of showing concern for the abuser over the victim, most recently, with his multiple visits to convicted predator Rabbi Eliezer Berland who’s victims included at least one minor.
We demand a full and complete investigation into Deputy Health Minister Litzman and speedy extradition of Malka Leifer to Australia.
The world is watching.

After a lengthy and thorough investigation, JCW has determined that we must warn the community of serious and credible allegations against Raphael Avraham (Avrumi) Weiss of molestation, rape and attempted rape, involving multiple male and female minors.
JCW staff members have interviewed numerous parties, including alleged victims, mental health professionals, family members and friends of alleged victims. Our staff have also reviewed documentation and materials that further describe the disturbing and consistent instances of sexual assault of minors ranging in age from five years old to adolescence.
The allegations are severe and numerous, describing acts allegedly perpetrated over the course of decades and in several states and countries.
Avrumi is originally from Miami, Florida, has lived for many years in Bet Shemesh, Israel, and is currently residing in California.
Please share this information and act responsibly to protect your community’s children.
Police arrested a 40-year-old resident in Nahariya on suspicion of attempting to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl.
The suspect entered the minor’s house on the pretense that he was distributing religious items. Once inside he kissed the girl and told her he would return later that evening.
The mother documented the suspect returning to the home later that day searching for the girl. The mother immediately called the police following the encounter and he was arrested that evening for the ‘meeting with the minor’. He was also found in possession of contraceptives in preparation for the meeting.
According to the preliminary investigation, it was found that the suspect goes door to door often distributing religious items. He is suspected of having additional victims.
The suspect was brought the Haifa Magistrate’s Court for a request to extend his detention.
New York passed a landmark law which extends the statute of limitations for child sex abuse, for both criminal and civil lawsuits. Attorneys Irwin Zalkin and Alex Zalkin outline the practical implications of this law for victims when pursuing sexual abuse lawsuits. They share some of the opportunities this law has created for victims who are older and weren’t previously able to pursue legal action against their abusers because of the statute of limitations.
